My business South West Sydney Virtual Assistant was created in 2015. Having been in the corporate world for over 17 years and having started a family, I wanted more flexibility to spend time with my kids whilst doing what I loved most. My business provides outsourcing solutions to small to medium sized businesses not only locally but interstate as well. We provide a range of services from Social Media Management, Virtual Reception, Website Management, Customer Service, and more. With the business now based out of offices in Ingleburn the business has grown so much during the past 4 years and we hope to continue to service many businesses in the local region for years to come.

What inspires you in either personal life or in business?

My 2 children are what inspires me. They are the driving force behind me starting my business and to work as hard as I do to support them.

What is your biggest achievement?

Successfully running my business for the past 6.5 years and supporting other local mums in business in that same time with Start Up Mum, a mum specific networking group designed to help educate mums working from home with new tools to use in their business whilst doing so in a child friendly environment. Along with this successfully running a Micro Business Expo each year in conjunction with Campbelltown Council which has grown with each year we do this.

Vayshali Chandra

Vayshali joined the Chamber Board as the Secretary in 2019.  Vayshali is a Senior Solicitor in one of the pre-eminent firms of the Macarthur region and who has worked locally for her entire career.  Founded in 1968 in Campbelltown by the late John Marsden, Marsdens Law Group delivers specialised legal services.
 
Navigating the legal system is a daunting prospect for most people, so by focusing on understanding our client's individual needs, Vayshali and the rest of the professional staff at Marsdens are able to advise you or your business on the best and most appropriate legal avenues available.  Marsdens have an extensive network of offices situated at Oran Park, Camden, Liverpool and Sydney, with our head office located at Campbelltown.

What inspires you in either personal life or in business?

Growing up in western Sydney I have always wanted to give back to my local community. I am looking forward to being able to contribute back to the business community of Campbelltown and assist in guiding the future direction of the Chamber for the next generation of business owners.

What is your biggest achievement?

Being able to give back to the local community by providing free legal advice at various non for profit local organizations. Also being personally involved on the board for other local charity’s is my way of giving back and guiding the future of the local Macarthur region.

Leon Chen

My name is Leon Chen. I am a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) specialising in providing compliance and taxation services to trustees and other advisors of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.

I graduated from the University of Western Sydney (now Western Sydney University) with a distinction in Accounting in 2012. In 2014 I joined the rapidly growing Kelly+Partners in its South West Sydney office. During this time I have quickly developed my skills and knowledge in areas such as accounting, taxation and superannuation. I am now the Assistant Manager for the SMSF Team.

For me, the Campbelltown area is a special place. I migrated from China to Australia in 2008. During my time at University, I was living in St Andrews, Campbelltown. I worked for a local IGA serving the local community and another non-profit organisation linked to the local university campus, not to mention that I learnt how to drive, how to speak English and how to be an Aussie in this wonderful community.

Alkalizer was conceptualised with an aim to provide a way to help people achieve a healthy lifestyle and when developing the business plan , the only place I could envision establishing the flagship store was in Campbelltown as it’s my home , my heart , my love. Alkalizer’s philosophy is to create balance and infuse positive energy through its various offerings - Alkaline water , speciality coffee , range of gourmet teas , chocolates , and nutritionally planned menus demonstrating that meals can be healthy yet scrumptious. Alkalizer offers the community of Macarthur services of cafe , restaurant , catering, high teas along with the latest addition - the launch of the dinner service on Friday’s and Saturdays “Alkalizer at Dusk” . Alkalizer is a multi award winning institution which constantly supports the local community and various charity organisations and causes in Macarthur.

What inspires you in either personal life or in business?

“Love for people” and I can now say with pride in particular for the Community of Campbelltown , combined with love for health and innovation is the passion that drives me in personal and business life .

What’s your greatest achievement?

As a little girl ,I used to visit the deaf and blind school for kids in my hometown with my grandmother to provide kids with home cooked meals or necessities. The resilience of those children and their capability to smile through all the adversities would amaze me and give me strength . I always thought if I would ever get an opportunity to do something in life , I would try and contribute back to the institute . In late 2016 , Alkalizer opened its door in our beautiful city of Campbelltown and ever since all profits from sale of Alkalized water have been donated back to the institute in various forms. I feel grateful towards the ongoing support of my community to be able to work towards this cause.

Victoria is passionate in giving back to members and sponsors, including many video interviews over the past 4 years. Assisting in securing speakers at little to no cost. Nurturing sponsors and ensuring that they receive added value to their sponsorship. Victoria enjoys collaborating with businesses to ensure they get the very best experience with the events throughout every touchpoint. Victoria has assisted with setting up online and in person Events, assisted in liaising with venues, speakers, sponsors over the past 12 months when needed. Victoria is a team player and always puts in 200% effort ensuring everyone is happy. Her drive to think outside the square with monthly events is invaluable and does not go unnoticed. Victoria sees that the next 12 months are crucial to be able to assist our members in these hard times and can see the benefits on businesses integrating with chamber as part of their business community. Ideas around podcast and video interviews with sponsors will be something she would like to grow further for our business community

Currently working in her role as Advertising Account Executive at C91.3FM Radio, including confidently advising on specific marketing procedures, schedules & strategies to business, working with parliamentary candidates and local councillors for strategic marketing campaigns. Victoria works closely with council to deliver weekly Mayors messages and assists in managing and marketing the local events through radio media. She regularly attends charity functions and presentation evenings. Victoria is also the Communications and Marketing Manager at Construction Project Management Services, Ventilation and Mechanical Engineering including Labour hire and project management. Victoria has the drive, initiative, limitless energy and relishes working with a diverse team in ever-changing environments.

Also throughout her professional career the knowledge she has gained has enabled her to work in many roles such as Experienced Business Development Manager, Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Mentor & Leader. Victoria has worked side by side with senior administrators on matters regarding compliance & human resources, while successfully leading administration & sales teams to maximum work output. I have also confidently conversed with multiple professionals in a wide range of industries & this has assisted in fostering, building & maintaining solid & lasting working relationships. I have the drive, initiative, limitless energy & relish working with a diverse team in ever-changing work environments. I successfully contributed to the output of 4 newspapers per week & solely 2 glossy magazines per month researching target demographics, economic trends, customer needs & interests as well as other data that was used in creating strategies for business development. I also have studied & have a background in Interior Design & Events. I have acted as Account Executive for interior designers & Architects & also managed around 1,000 accounts along with the management & administration of the commercial office. I withheld NSW commercial professional bedding industry co-coordinator role in looking after a majority of the major hotels.
